Skin Peels

Restore that dewy glow to your skin with our soothing, regenerative skin peel treatments. A skin peel will improve your skin texture and tone, plus it lessens the appearance of wrinkles.

What are skin peels?

Skin peels are a treatment where a restorative peeling product is applied to the surface of your skin. This allows for new and fresh skin to regenerate and adds a soft glow.

Skin peels are used to enhance the quality of your skin and treat a wide range of skin conditions, while hydrating damaged skin.

There are many variations of skin peels to suit your needs and preferences. Your nurse can discuss their different purposes, such as exfoliating dead skin cells, purifying skin, encouraging cellular renewal, inhibiting pigmentation, and reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Benefits of
Skin Peels

Instant, lasting results

With most peels, you will experience an immediate lift and glow. During your consultation, we’ll tailor a treatment plan to suit your skin concerns, and this will usually involve at least four peel sessions. These additional treatments turn your instant glow into potent, long-lasting results, leaving you looking refreshed and youthful for months to come.

Treats a variety of skin concerns

Skin peels can significantly improve a wide range of skin issues, from fine lines and pigmentation to acne and scarring. The peel ingredients chemically exfoliate the top layer of skin, taking imperfections with it and allowing soft, new skin to shine through. Peels can be used together or alone, so no matter what your skin concern is, our peels will invigorate your unique beauty.

Skin peels FAQs

How do skin peels work?

Skin peels contain an exfoliating acid to penetrate the top layer (epidermis) of your skin. They remove dead skin cells to encourage new cellular growth.

They speed up the exfoliation process to accelerate skin cell turnover and cause a deliberate peel, so that new skin cells grow back in their place.

Why do we recommend skin peels?

Skin peels work well for all age groups and can help support skin rejuvenation for patients undergoing other treatments, such as skin needling.

Our cosmetic grade peels are a clinical treatment that applies only safe solutions to the surface of your skin. They address cells causing skin concerns such as ageing, sun damage, scarring, acne, pigmentation, uneven skin tones, redness, fine lines and wrinkles.

Skin peels are highly recommended because they cater to all skin types. They are soothing, regenerative and are a great way to pamper yourself.

The treatment takes up between 30 – 60 minutes.

Skin peels are used to treat these common issues on your face:

  • Acne
  • Wrinkles
  • Ageing skin
  • Dry skin
  • Pigmentation
  • Dehydrated skin
  • Clogged skin
  • Fine lines
  • Sun damage

Who is this treatment suitable for?

This treatment is perfect for people with all different skin types who want to pamper their skin, feel revived and glamorous by focusing on facial skin. This treatment is non-invasive and works to improve the condition of the epidermis (top layer) of your skin.

These treatments are also perfect for people with sensitive skin, cystic acne, stubborn pigmentation, superficial scarring or who want a treatment that can be done more regularly than other skin treatments.

Skin peels can be customised to suit your needs, and have many benefits, such as unifying skin tone, softening wrinkles, reducing pore size and improving the overall texture of the skin.

What to expect during the treatment?

Before treatment

Prior to treatment, you will need to stop using skin care products at least 5 days before your appointment. During your consultation, your nurse will discuss the varying treatment options available to determine whether a skin peel is going to help you achieve your desired goals for your facial skin and whether it’s right for you. The consultation will also include a discussion about any previous health history you have.

During Treatment

First, your hair will be brushed back from your face to prevent any product touching your hair and your skin is prepared for treatment. Your face is cleansed to remove any dirt, makeup or sweat. A solution will then be applied to your skin containing an exfoliating acid, which might cause a slight stinging sensation while it is on your skin. Once it is removed, a moisturiser will be applied and massaged into your skin for deep rehydration.

Post treatment

You may experience mild swelling and redness for up to a week post treatment. You may also experience some flaking. Aftercare is important to ensure the best results, as well as comfort for you. You should avoid the sun, refrain from wearing makeup and avoid using exfoliants for up to 2 weeks to ensure your skin fully heals and regenerates.
