Living a Low tox Lifestyle
Over the years I’ve become more and more aware of the things we are all turning to for convenience and many of us don’t spent time to think about to consequence it may have on our health and body.
Over time, I’ve made small changes to reduce my toxic load and support my endocrine system, digestion, and overall vitality. These are all things we strive for in my family and are far from living a perfectly low toxic lifestyle but here’s some things you might want to consider implementing in your every day 🤍
What I Reduce where possible:
❌ Microwaved Foods – Heating food in plastic or high temperatures can disrupt hormones. Instead, I opt for fresh, whole foods and cook using stovetop or oven methods.
❌ Frequent Spray Tans – The chemicals in spray tans can disrupt hormones and overwhelm the liver. I limit them and choose clean beauty alternatives when possible.
❌ Regular Gel Nails – Frequent exposure to acrylics, gel polish, and removers can impact nail health and expose the body to chemicals. I give my nails a break and stick to non-toxic polishes.
❌ Fragranced Body Wash & Lotions – Artificial fragrances contain endocrine disruptors that can interfere with hormones. I switch to fragrance-free or essential oil-based products.
What I Implement as much as I can:
✅ Sweating (Sauna & Hot Pilates) – One of the best ways to detox! Sweating helps eliminate toxins, improves circulation, and supports the lymphatic system.
✅ Whole, Nutrient-Dense Foods – Prioritizing fresh, organic produce, grass-fed meats, and filtered water keeps my body functioning at its best.
✅ Lymphatic Drainage – Supporting circulation and detoxification naturally. (Great excuse for a massage)
✅ Epsom Salt Baths – Magnesium is great for muscle recovery, relaxation, and detoxing heavy metals.
